I think you have an interesting point. If you recall, the scale of what makes a car reliable is based completely on a survey response. The results of that survey can be rather misleading, for example, if the survey was performed by the manufacturer, or by a specialty group or a completely random group, given at different times, given to different people.
Lets say you got a result that said, 45% disliked the braking, and 28% thought servicing costs was overwhelming. You need to look at the group themselves. Who are taking these test and at one conditions. The percentage of accuracy can be compromised 100% depending on expectations. Living in high country with very rough mountainous roads will find “Toyota” a bit miserable, but those living near flat lakes and smooth flat roads might find it fantastic.
