The new 911 Carrera SThe Porsche 911 Carrera is the iconic sports car.  In over fifty years of production, it has changed relatively little.  The shape and looks haven’t changed much, it’s always had a 2+2 seating arrangement, and it’s always had a flat six hanging out behind the rear axle.  Now the issue with such an iconic car, is what do you do when you come out with a new model? Porsche has always tried to strike a balance between improving and updating the car, while still maintaining it’s intrinsic 911-ness.  This year, Porsche came out with another new 911 (its first since 2004) and the issue rears its head once again.  Is the new Carrera (code-named the 991) still a 911, or has it strayed too far from the iconic original?
