The Porsche 911 is one of the most recognized cars on the road. It’s basic design has remained unchanged for over 40 years although there has been contiuous development and infusion of technology all along. To me, the 911 is the epitome of a great sports car: small, manueverable, fast, agile, and distinctive, and the 1986 911 Carrera is the most timeless design of them all.

1984 saw the launch of a replacement for the older, but successful SC series. It was the model year 1984 911 3.2 Carrera, that revived the Carrera name for the first time since 1977. The 911 3.2 Carrera was the last iteration in the original 911 series, with all subsequent models featuring new body styling and all-new brakes, electronics and suspension technologies.
