Porsche Cars North America Inc., soon to be a resident of Hapeville‘s Aerotropolis,  generated a 15 percent jump in sales in 2011, due mostly to higher CayenneSUV sales.                                                

The Atlanta-based exclusive U.S. importer of Porsche vehicles totaled 29,023 vehicle sales last year, compared with 25,320 in 2010.

Sales in 2011 by model:

  • Cayenne — 12,978, up 56 percent
  • 911 — 6,016, up 5 percent
  • Boxter/Cayman — 3,150, down 10 percent
  • Panamera — 6,879, down 11 percent
